Located on the Ica River about 300 Km to the South of Lima along the coast of Southern Peru, Ica is renowned for several reasons. Mainly because it is in that region that the important Nasca culture developed and left fascinating heritages of sophisticated work of art such as the Nasca lines, the fine and elaborated textiles and feather art. The Museo Regional de Ica is a local museum where many exhibits retrace the history of this place. Ica suffered lost of life and extensive damage in the earthquake of 2007.
